Srinagar, Aug 27 (KNO) : Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Miwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik Monday said that the moment few national news channels ran a news about fresh plea submitted in the Supreme Court seeking roll back of Article 35 A, within seconds, a massive spill over was seen on roads that stands as an eye opener for New Delhi.

In a joint statement issued (KNO), the Leadership said that people across Kashmir hit the streets in protest while as shopkeepers downed their shutters which stands as an eye opener for the New Dehli and a direct message that Kashmiris are ready to sacrifice everything to protect their citizenship rights.  They reiterated the two day strike and protest call for August 30 and 31 as the Supreme Court of India would hear the series of petitions seeking roll back of Article 35 A that guarantees hereditary state subject rights to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

The JRL urged people across the State to maintain discipline, remain patient and to follow the programs of JRL in letter and spirit to convey to the world community that people of JK will allow no compromise of their citizenship rights and all such ploys will be fought with full might and resilience.

The Leadership said that in case Supreme Court announces any verdict against the wishes and aspirations of people of J&K, from the very moment mass agitation will start across the State as people will hit the roads in protest.
